• NEWSFLASH!!!  The Dress Rehearsal for HYPErbole 2008 has been changed!  Due to a schedule change at the Paradise Performing Arts Center, we are now holding our DRESS REHEARSAL on Wednesday, May 28th.  Call time remains the same at 3:30 PM.
   
• Due to the schedule change above, the last PARENT DANCE rehearsal has been moved from Wednesday, May 28th to Thursday, May 29th (5:30-6:30 PM).  If you’d like more info on the PARENT DANCE, email Sarah at sarah@hypedancestudio.com!  1st practice is Saturday, April 19 at 11:45 – 1:00!
   
• We are proud to announce that our annual spring recital “HYPErbole 2008” will be held on May 30-June 1 at the Paradise Performing Arts Center!  This year HYPE will present 4 shows to showcase all of our incredible dancers!  Online ticketing will also be available!  Also look for your class’s costume information to be posted at the studio in early February.


• HYPE is bringing in some of the industry’s top choreographers!  Shannon Fine and Barry Youngblood will be coming to choreograph for FUSION!  Shannon will be here Jan. 18-20 to teach 2 competitive jazz pieces, and Barry will be bringing Fusion’s Hip Hop Production dance on Feb. 2-3!  What an honor and privilege it will be for our dancers! 


• HYPE’S Lil Rascals Auditions have been set for Saturday, March 15!  Come be a part of the League Champion’s Chico Outlaws dance team and perform at all the games!  See front desk for more details. 


• Check out Fusion performing at Chico State Basketball games!  Fri, Jan. 11, Thurs, Jan. 31, Fri, Feb. 1, and Thurs, Feb. 28.  All games held at Aker Gym at Chico State and begin at 7:30 PM.


• Thank you to your old instructors Brianna and Kellie for visiting us at the Holiday Show!  We love you and are so glad you came to see us all!  You’re still our HYPE GIRLS FOREVER!


• Congratulations HYPE DANCE STUDIO for receiving an Annie Art Award for Best Dance Performance in Chico for "HYPErbole 2007!" Great job to the cast and crew! We can't wait for another great show this coming year!


• Kings performance has been changed to Saturday, April 12! Anyone wanting to go to the game can buy tickets through HYPE! Please email Tara at events@hypedancestudio.com by Oct. 15!


• Students please remember to help keep our studio clean! Please no food in the studio and drinks outside the dance rooms. Thank you for your help in keeping HYPE clean!
  


• We have set our dates for Class Pictures for the weekend of May 9-10! Picture packages, action dance photography, and personalized dance montages available! More information to come soon.

Your HYPE account will use this new email as your login once it has been updated.
AUG 23	Introducing our new classes this Fall! Princess Ballet, Creative Dance & Movement, Boys Hip Hop, Divas & Dudes Ballet, and a whole new College/Adult dance program! See our class descriptions and schedule for more info!
AUG 23	College/Adult Classes: we have added so much to this program this Fall and we’re thrilled to offer so many styles, times, and options for you all! Beg. Jazz/Lyrical Int./Adv. Jazz/Lyrical Beg. Hip Hop Int/Adv. Hip Hop Beg. Tap Int/Adv. Tap Hip Hop Cardio Ballet/Stretch HYPE’S College/Adult program is for ages 18+ and focuses on technique and choreography of each style. Instructors teach new combos every other week until it becomes close to our Holiday and Spring Shows, when one routine is rehearsed each week. Classes are fun, non-intimidating, and a great work out! All classes are available for drop-ins. This year HYPE will offer Adult Class Cards so you may keep track of how many classes you are using! Class cards may be used for any of the College/Adult classes and are offered in packages of 5, 10, and 15. Class cards expire at the end of each semester they were purchased in.
AUG 23	We’d like to welcome our new members of HDS Faculty! Instructors Kristin, Lindsay, Tara, Laurel and Tonya are joining the staff this year at HYPE! Welcome back Tana, Jordan, Rachel, and Christina! What a great group of girls to lead HYPE into another fun year of dancing!
