HYPE Dance Studio and the Chico Outlaws Baseball Club have joined forces to bring you the exciting dance team Lil Rascals! Started in the summer of 2006, the Lil Rascals Dance Team brings exciting family entertainment to the fans of the Chico Outlaws baseball games!
Our mission is to provide local performance opportunities to young dancers in a fun, family atmosphere at the Chico Outlaw baseball games! These dancers represent both the Outlaws and HYPE Dance Studio, and perform dance routines on the dugouts at Nettleton Stadium!
The Lil Rascals are also featured in HYPE Dance Studio’s annual dance recital “HYPErbole” with a performance including Rascal himself! Additionally, these dancers represent our community and perform locally at such events as Chico’s Downtown Christmas Preview, school assemblies, various business sponsored events, fundraisers and charity events, and many more!
Once again we are proud to announce that Tana will be returning for the 3rd year as the Lil Rascals Dance Team Coach! Tana has over 25 years of dance experience and currently teaches and is Program Coordinator at HYPE Dance Studio. Tana has also danced for the Sacramento Kings Dance Team, IFL’S Topeka Knights and Topeka Kings, and the MLS Kansas City Wizards. Tana’s professional experience and friendly approach has led our dancers to success year after year!
More Information
• We are looking for energetic, outgoing dancers who are supportive and positive! We are looking for intermediate to advanced dancers! We will be keeping the audition process positive and fun, so that it is a good experience for all the kids. Dancers will be evaluated on their dance skills and techniques, how quickly they learn, and their performance ability. All dancers of Chico are encouraged to attend…taking classes at the HYPE Dance Studio is not a requirement for auditioning! So come one, come all!
• Each dancer will be scheduled for a total of 20-25 games, and must be available to attend. (Parents will be able to give us their requested vacation time so we may schedule around it. Please bring this information to the mandatory parent meeting on Sunday, March 16.)
• Each dancer will be required to wear the required uniforms, which will be paid to and ordered through HYPE. (This fee is included in the total Dancer Fee below.) The required shoes will be ordered through each individual dancer after the team has been selected (not included in fee).
• We will have Lil Rascal PARENT T-shirts available this year so you can support your dancer at all the games! :) T-shirts will be available in all sizes and ready for pre-order at the parent meeting.
• A rehearsal schedule will be given out after the team has been selected, and each dancer is required to attend all rehearsals (held at HYPE Dance Studio). There will be an estimated 18 total rehearsals between March and August. This schedule will be given out at the parent meeting.
• There will be a MANDATORY parent & dancer meeting on Sunday, March 16 at 4:00 PM held at HYPE Dance Studio. Measurements will be taken, detailed information will be given out, questions will be answered, etc!
• The total Dancer Fee for each Lil Rascals Dancer will be $255.00. This includes 2 sets of uniforms + rehearsal tuition from April – August. This will be divided into 3 payments of $85.00, due on the following dates:
Payment #1: Sunday, March 16 - $85.00
Payment #2: Monday, April 14 - $85.00
Payment #3: Monday, May 12 - $85.00
